January
1/29/10 – ECMD attends event at the Doubletree with Charland Rurey Construction celebrating the Silver LEED certification the bldg obtained. The bldg looks great; I wonder who the steel fabricator was? Us, of course!
1/29/10 – ECMD starts the gymnasium at the Northport youth Community Center. 90’ Bar joist are no problem at all! Here is a news article about it: http://www.mysuncoast.com/Global/story.asp?S=11459971
1/29/10 – CVS 3114 Orange City substantially complete. Bring on the other trades!
1/28/10 – Publix 1345 feels the need to “one up” Publix 1311 by adding 2 more catwalks taking a slim lead in that category. This one goes from EOR to CO to shop drawings, fabrication, and erection in no time.
1/26/10 – ECMD completes phase 2 of Riverland shopping center. Working at night to not disturb the businesses.
1/25/10 - ECMD begins fabrication of the tricky “centerpiece” of Fire Station 1. A large galvanized tower right in front of the bldg. 3-D model shown here:
1/23/10 – ECMD begins work at the already up and running Florida Spine Specialist office. ECMD and Charland Rurey Construction working together to get the bldg complete and not damage any interior finishes.
1/22/10 – CVS 0196 Fort Myers substantially complete. Bring on the other trades. Shown here are the radius beams at the roof.
1/20/10 – HOCC Recycling metal bldg starts back up and should be done soon.
1/20/10 – Meyer amphitheatre gets installed in one day making the PM Sean a happy man!
1/19/10 – Technological University of Miami get the North stair installed as well as the bracing for the added RTU frames.
1/18/10 – CVS 3114 Orange City begins. Scott the PM is glad we are there to help make up time!
1/18/10 – Pasco County Animal Hospital begins erection.
1/13/10 – Publix 1311 in Coral Springs adds a catwalk. From CO to dwgs, fabrication, and installation.
1/12/10 – CVS 0196 in Fort Myers begins work
1/11/10 – Last stair installed at the Lake Worth Water Treatment Plant
1/8/10 – ECMD takes over for another steel contractor and shines with Shakman with fast fabrication, teamwork, and speedy installation.
1/7/10 – Fire Station 49 tube steel framing at stair goes from change order to estimate in one day and from there detailed, ordered, fabricated, and installed in one week!
1/6/10 – Fire Station 41 gets new screenwall and bracing installed. This renovation is going well.
1/4/10 – Publix 1345 in Plantation having already been completed in November undergoes a little cosmetics. The mechanical units are too tall for the bldg and the benches must be lowered. Cranes are brought in, units removed, benches lowered using an engineered fix, and the units are put back in place.
1/3/10 – Doral Country Club substantially completed with a little night and weekend work so the business doesn’t get interrupted.
1/1/10 - 56th Ave CBS Bldg completed and the frame of the metal bldg is up. Lets get this thing sheeted. Kaufmann Lynn is really doing a nice job. City of Hollywood should definitely be happy.
