On December 19, 2018, East Coast Metals Structures Corp., along with our charity partners from WIRK 103.1 Country Radio, visited the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to deliver over $1,000 worth of gifts to the ill children. We brought the Peppa Pig cartoon character along with a local musician – Nikki Lickstein. We toured several wings and visited the many children. Visit our Facebook page for more pictures of this wonderful effort that lifted the children’s hearts and brought a big smile to all! Merry Christmas!
East Coast Metal Structures Corp and Florida International University’s College of Engineering and Computing have established a partnership to benefit the academic achievement of FIU’s students. Prior to graduation, Senior FIU undergraduate students participate in a three-part training program provided by ECMS. Students receive classroom instruction on steel industry operations and technical applications, observe fabrication operations at both ECMS production facilities (our structural steel is in Riviera Beach, FL while our miscellaneous metals shop is in Lantana, FL) and travel to an actual project in construction. Through this, students are able to observe real-time, practical instruction on the many facets of erecting and securing steel material. James Norvell, our Director of HR & Safety, takes the lead on these programs to ensure all safety measures are met and the students receive the best learning experience possible. Working with Florida educational institutions is something we will continue to do for many years to come. ECMS is a proud contributor to the many educational institutions across the state of Florida.
We are officially an American Welding Society Certified Welding Fabricator! We are so proud of all of the members of our team for accomplishing this goal.
To the left is a picture of the newest addition to our office: our custom conference table. Our conference table has a mixture of many of the items we specialize in (including custom work). In the middle of the table is our company initials “ECMS.” To create our initials, our water jet table was used to ensure a clean cut. Beneath the glass are cable rails that extend through the entire table. Underneath the table there are custom made bar joist, stainless steel rails used as a foot rail, base plates, and tapered W36x210 wide flange beams with continuous flange plates used as the main support for the table. Our conference table weighs over 2,000 pounds! For more photos of our custom work, please visit our Facebook page: www.Facebook.com
Last Saturday was the 38th Annual Stiles Golf Tournament held at the Woodlands Country Club. We are proud to have sponsored such an awesome event. Daymon Allmon, Brad McAfee, Brad Coleman, and Johnny Rowe all attended and represented ECMS. Taking home 1st place definitely made our weekend! Great job to all the players and everyone that came out and supported the event. We look forward to the next one.
